How to play Demon Slayer by Kamado Tanjiro no Uta
Start with the chords. Demon Slayer uses 7 different chords; Bb is held longest — about 27% of the song — so it is the one to make comfortable first. 3 of them need a barre (Bb, F, Gm). If barres are new to you, read the barre guide.
Then the changes. The change that repeats most is C → Bb (6 times), followed by Dm → C (5 times). Drill that pair on its own before the song: the chords change roughly every 2.5 seconds (24 changes per minute), so each change needs to be ready in about a beat. See faster chord changes.
Strumming. At 76 BPM this is a slow song; a good starting pattern is D . D . D . D . (straight quarters, or arpeggio). Play along with the song and land your downstrokes on the kick drum. More in strumming patterns.
Practise with the page. Turn on lyric mode and loop the chorus; play the loop at a slower tempo until it is clean, then at full speed. The song is in F; if it sits wrong for your voice, use the transpose buttons — see transposing.

Easier substitutes
- Instead of Bb, try Bbmaj7: a partial shape on the top four strings, no full barre.
- Instead of F, try Fmaj7: drop the barre and leave the high E string open — it rings almost the same in most songs.
- Instead of Gm, try Gm7: fewer fingers, same bass note.
Swap one chord at a time and play along; if it still sounds right with the band, keep it.
